Winners Announced!

MOUNT OLIVE TWP. (May 22, 2018) – The Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce has announced this year’s winners of their scholarship awards, including two high school students and two current college students.

Julianna Kim of Mount Olive High School and Edward O’Melia of Hackettstown High School each will receive a scholarship worth $750.

Kim will be attending Syracuse University in the fall majoring in Business Management. O’Melia is going to Rowan University and intends to have a double major, in Mechanical Engineering and Business.

This year the Chamber added a new scholarship category, open to family members (of Chamber members) currently in college.

Katherine Schaffer, daughter of Patrice Schaffer, and Holly Reidinger, daughter of Kathy Reidinger, will each receive a $500 scholarship award.

Schaffer earned an Associates Degree in Chemistry from County College of Morris, and is going on to Montclair State University in pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry.

Reidinger will be in her second year at St. Joseph’s University this fall, with a major in Business.

All four scholarship recipients will be recognized at the Chamber’s Annual Awards Dinner on Thursday June 7.

This is our latest effort to provide our members with a direct membership benefit.
