The Mt Olive Area Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Hackettstown BID and the Hackettstown Regional Medical Center is developing a new Young Professionals Committee

The Young Professionals Committee offers our under-40 members the opportunity to both leverage their youth and learn how to be more effective and successful business people.

This committee will offer a unique combination of networking, learning and skills building, and giving back to the community. The committee will be meeting on the evening of the 3rd Tuesday each month at a variety of locations in the area.

The first 2 events will be social mixers with complimentary appetizers and buy-your-own refreshments in a reserved section of the pub.

May 21 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Corner Pub in Flanders

June 18 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Bea McNally’s in Hackettstown

The Mt Olive Area Chamber of Commerce will host the annual awards dinner in the Presidents Circle at Centenary College on Wednesday June 26 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.

With our key-note speaker, Diane Lang Author, Professor, Therapist, and the author of “Creating Balance & Finding Happiness”; we will be recognizing the outstanding efforts of 3 local business professionals and awarding our annual High School Senior Scholarship at the MOACC Awards Dinner .

The awards dinner is only $30 p/p (with MOACC members receiving a $5.00 discount). This can be paid via Credit Card on-line at http://www.meetup.com/Marketing-in-the-Morning-Mt-Olive-Area/events/102199102/ - RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED as space will be limited to the first 35.

This year we received over 25 nominations from the Business Community recommending some outstanding efforts in this community. The MOACC Awards Committee, which was chaired by Laura Reilly and included Christ Ward, Claudia Ehrgott, Dianna Perez, and Pater King, had a tough job of reviewing all of the submissions This team narrowed the recommended submissions to seven (7) finalists: Business Person: Janen Ardia, Steve Maternick, and Mayor Greenbaum; and Humanitarian: Norman Worth, Tammy Abrusci, Kathy Murphy, and Ray Miller; before deciding on the person selected to be honored.

We are proud to announce that on the evening of June 26, the Chamber will be recognizing:

2013 Community Service Recognition award: Mt Olive Mayor Rob Greenbaum

MOACC Business Executive Council – announcement

In 2013, the MOACC has created the MOACC Business Executive Council with some of the larger corporate members.

The goal is to build relationships amongst senior business executives, local government officials, share best practices, and focus on solutions for important business and community issues that face our Townships larger firms.

This group will meet quarterly throughout the year.
